Message from the General Secretary
It’s time for public servants to vote.
With a minimum of a 10.8% wage increase, the agreement on offer brings real gains and has us back to the bargaining table soon.
Your vote is needed to achieve these wins.
By voting yes, we secure financial relief for hardworking public servants across SA.
Parental leave equality for fathers and all parents is groundbreaking and comes in with this agreement. Lifting our most junior public servants permanently above the Award and with a healthy margin is a first. Union access clauses that give us the ability to build strength for future rounds of bargaining.
In just five months, we are bargaining for more.
Yes, it’s fast.
Because we have more we want to achieve. The Government has agreed to join us at the negotiating table in July and we will make the most of it.
Vote now to lock in these changes, then watch this space: get engaged in your union so we can represent your needs. We want to hear from you.
Above all, have your say, vote now.
Charlotte Watson, General Secretary, Public Service Association of SA
