We have received over 2000 responses to our member survey regarding the latest EB offer and it has been met with a resounding rejection.

Public Sector workers across our state are fed up with being underpaid, overloaded and exploited and they are taking action. It is time to put it back to the Government that undignified wages aren’t good enough. There is no shame in saying this campaign and this EB are about pay.

It is now time to mobilise and send a clear message to the Government that we will not accept this EB offer. Now is the time to stand in solidarity with each other in statewide action.

The rallies will be at lunchtime to support attendance. We encourage you to discuss attendance at the local level and see our FAQ below. If you are not a member, now is the time to join.

We are here to help. If you will experience financial hardship by participating in this industrial action, please contact the PSA at enquiries@psaofsa.asn.au

We will be organising bus transportation from set locations. Please complete the register of attendance to assist with facilitating transport.

All members and non-members are asked to complete the register of attendance using the links below.

Frequently asked questions

  • The government and wider public will be made aware of our action through appropriate communication channels and press releases. As many people as possible are encouraged to attend and support the rally. Please extend the invite to family and friends.

  • Yes. A rally is inconvenient for all involved, including PSA members who would rather be on the job delivering essential services to our community than pleading to the Government that they deserve to be paid more than the award.

Unfortunately, we have been left with no other choice.

If you’re disrupted by a strike, blame the Government.

  • Where possible you should discuss attendance by taking a long lunch to attend this important rally.

Explain to your line manager that you are attending a rally in support of a fair pay rise for all public sector staff and that this rally will benefit everyone.

  • PSA members will have the support of the Union in taking action. Your employer cannot discipline you but your pay may be docked if flexitime is not supported. If you are not a member, now is the time to join.

  • Yes! The rally is for everyone. We will be relying on everyone working together, including the community, to assist us in achieving our claims. If you work in the Public Sector and are not yet a member, now is the time to join and support your workmates in achieving a fair deal.

  • ‘Authorised industrial action’ exists under federal legislation which is not applicable as we operate under the state legislation. Therefore, the term is not relevant to us.

The action of attending the rally, is organised and supported by the PSA, and members will be supported by the union to participate. As above, no one can be disciplined for participating in industrial action under state legislation.

It is recommended that any existing local level industrial action is ceased in place of attendance at the rally and any rolling stop-work meetings that follow.
