Snap Rally 12 Nov: Demand Safety & Fair Pay at Housing SA

The PSA is keeping the pressure firmly on the State Government to deliver a pay rise that truly reflects the worth of public sector workers and the vital work they do for South Australians every day. Our next rally will be on 12 November at Nick Champion's office.

The PSA has identified alarming failures across our state's housing systems. Homes that are not fit for habitation. Contact and customer service teams exposed daily to unsafe environments and abuse. Public housing being rushed through without proper safeguards. Maintenance teams unable to keep up with overwhelming demand.

To make matters worse, these issues aren't new. Staff have been raising the alarm for years. This is simply not good enough.

Next Wednesday, 12 November, at our second snap action rally, we're calling on ALP Minister for Housing and Urban Development and Housing Infrastructure and Planning, Nick Champion in Adelaide's Northern suburbs, to support the workers who support our most vulnerable. While this action has a focus on Housing Trust, it is appropriate for all PSA members to attend, as the action is for a fair wage increase for all workers covered by the Salaried EA.

We will also be sending an urgent survey shortly about additional rolling industrial action (for example, reduction of services or not doing overtime). Please keep an eye out for this survey.

We appreciate this is an intensive time as we ramp to get the deal we need. Get in touch if you need support from the union.

The public sector needs a fair pay rise now!
